Gurugram: Ornamental Realtors faces FIR for not renewing licence

District town planner seeks FIR against Ornamental Realtors Pvt Ltd for alleged violations of its commercial colony license in Sector 61. The builder failed to meet statutory requirements, including timely renewal applications and fee deposits, and did not upload mandatory compliance documents. This action highlights the government's strict oversight of licensed colony projects

The FIR request has been circulated among senior officials at both district and state levels, signalling that the govt intends to maintain strict oversight of licensed colony projects. Officials said Ornamental Realtors Pvt Ltd failed to meet multiple statutory requirements despite repeated reminders, prompting the enforcement wing to escalate the matter to the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau police.

The action adds to yet another case to the growing list of enforcement actions against non-compliant developers in the city's rapidly expanding real estate belt.

According to the town planner, the builder was granted licence on Aug 27, 2009 to develop the commercial colony over 3.5 acres in Ghata village, falling under the Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex.

However, the developer allegedly did not submit an application for renewal in the required format, nor did it deposit the applicable renewal fees as mandated under the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975 and the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Rules, 1976.
